Welcome to The Source

Young people are living, learning and negotiating their way in life through in an increasingly complex and challenging world. The Source Young People's Charity is working to help these young people become empowered and resilient, able to direct their future and fulfil their potential.

We are passionate about young people and reducing the inequality and barriers they face. Working in Rushmoor, Hart and West Surrey, The Source exists to make contact with and develop young people aged between 11 and 25 years old. We aim to build relationships with and create opportunities for all young people, and we are able to focus on those who are struggling at school, in trouble with the law, struggling with family relationships, living on their own, homeless or isolated from mainstream society.

This generation face different challenges to previous ones. In addition to the availability of drugs and alcohol, being sexually active earlier and anti- social and risk taking behaviour, social media adds a dimension that is taking its toll on young people’s mental health. As statutory services creak under the volume of referrals. organisation like the Source pick up increasingly desperate young people. To respond to this, we have increased our counseling and anger management services whilst maintaining our early intervention and preventative youth work services. We also work more and more with parents trying to affect change in the whole family.

Our youth base, which offers a café style drop-in, counselling suites and group work spaces is based at the top of Aldershot Town Centre, in Suite 3, Wesley Chambers, Queens Road. Our projects allow young people to 'Be, Belong and Become' and all are designed to give them the skills to move into adulthood able to fulfil their potential.

A New Chapter has begun at The Source
The Source are delighted to announce that we have now moved into Suite 3 at Wesley Chambers. The suite is absolutely fantastic and provides us with a far more appropriate space to deliver our services for young people in our local community.

We now have 5 rooms that can be used for one-to-one support, which will be utilised by our Support Services team for Anger Management, Counselling and our Mentoring programmes.
